RogerEbert.com — Afterlife of the Party

Heaven can wait for Victoria Justice in “Afterlife of the Party,” a shrill and derivative Netflix comedy. The former Nickelodeon star brings all the incessant perkiness of her sit-com roots to the role of Cassie, a stunning and self-centered party girl who dies in a freak accident the morning after her 25th birthday extravaganza. My 1 1/2-star review, at RogerEbert.com.

  1. great review, i will save my time and not watch. The beauty of the streaming services like Netflix is they offer so many movie choices as well as shows; the problem is the quality of the productions they churn out these days are often soooo below average. It was not like this at first, i remember years ago the quality ratio was much higher. but now they keep over saturating the markets, right? What we need is in the middle- quality programs and movies being released on a genuinely good streaming service, at a reasonable rate and not so a movie/show has to go go go out every week 🙂 I still have faith in Netflix, perhaps they can turn it around one day soon.
