Willkommen, bienvenue, welcome to the latest episode of Breakfast All Day. Alonso, Matt and I are snapping our fingers with purpose for the premiere episode of the FX series “Fosse/Verdon.” But first, we review the messy reboot of “Hellboy,” the reworking of “Big” called “Little” and we catch up with the remake of “Pet Sematary.” We also discuss two very different movies about female music superstardom: “Her Smell,” starring Elisabeth Moss as a punk goddess, and “Teen Spirit,” starring Elle Fanning as a pop princess. It’s a jam-packed episode, so hold onto your bowler hats and let’s go.

  1. Could you review any of the following shows: The 100 season 6 (late April) , Chernobyl (HBO in May), Gentleman Jack (HBO late April), The Expanse season 4. Possibly review the season finale of Star Trek Discovery.

  2. Little was a good night at the movies. I certainly did occasionally laugh out loud. Plot holes didn’t bother me. There’s just too few female centric romps. The more made the better they’ll get.

Game of Thrones. YAH YAH YAH. Can’t wait.

  3. @Christy and Alonso:

I am sorry for you, that you watch Game of Thrones when the most interesting part is over:

-The struggle for power of different royal houses
    – Incredible number of interesting deep characters
    – Real people you sympathize for do horrible stuff
    – So many interesting and strong women you have never seen in Fantasy before.
    – You never could guess what would happen or who would survive, there was no typical “fantasy formula” as we see in another movies.

But the last season will be another predictable Blockbuster where heroes rescue the world from the undead (never seen that before…)
This happens when Hollywood filmmakers end a story a talented author began.

I am really looking forward to your podcast and I hope you might mention my assumptions. 😉

    Greetings from Germany
    Christian
