Triple Frontier Movie Review

An impressive, all-star cast and an acclaimed director and writer come together to create a film that’s frustratingly uneven in “Triple Frontier,” which got a theatrical run before its Netflix debut. Oscar Isaac, Ben Affleck, Charlie Hunnam, Garrett Hedlund and Pedro Pascal star as former special ops badasses who rob a South American cartel kingpin for their own gain. J.C. Chandor (“All Is Lost,” “A Most Violent Year”) directs from a script he co-wrote with Mark Boal (“The Hurt Locker,” “Zero Dark Thirty”). But the results aren’t nearly as gripping as that combination would suggest. My mixed review, at RogerEbert.com.

  1. Hi Christy….This is a question about “Dumbo” which I just saw and loved. You referenced a groan worthy anachronistic cultural gap gag. I missed it. What was it? Thanks.
