Wine the Flick?! — Blockers

It’s as high-concept as high-concept comedies get: Three parents try to stop their daughters from losing their virginity on prom night. The extremely R-rated “Blockers” already sounded fun, but I knew it would be even better with my dear friend and fellow mom, veteran actress Gina Torrecilla, by my side. We cackled at the severely inappropriate humor (and weren’t so impressed by the film’s awkward attempts at sentimentality), then hashed through it all afterward over drinks at the ArcLight Hollywood. Please use protection, and enjoy.

  1. I think it’s awesome that this movie was made and that women will get to enjoy their sexuality. But does anyone else think it’s insane that the director, Kay Cannon, is promoting this movie that overtly objectifies men, while at the same exact time using the movie to condemn male sexuality? She literally said while promoting this movie.. we need to stop seeing women (actresses as sex objects). WHAT!?!? It would be fine if she just promoted the female sexuality aspect of this movie.. but to do that and then at the same time state that MEN should NOT be allowed to enjoy the same? Anyone care about how utterly hypocritical, insane, thoughtless and pathetic that is? Like, for real. It’s just absurd!
