It’s sort of a miracle that “Midnight Traveler” exists. The documentary follows husband-and-wife filmmakers and their two young daughters as they travel over three years and 3,500 miles seeking asylum. The Taliban has put out a hit on Afghan director Hassan Fazili, so he and his family must journey from Tajikistan to Iran, Turkey, Bulgaria, Serbia and eventually the EU in search of a home. Along the way, they shot everything that happened to them on three mobile phones. This film is the result. My review, at RogerEbert.com.
This sounds really interesting, too often movies/ docs like this go unnoticed! I will seek it out
