Breakfast All Day Podcast 3/22/19
Is it really me and Matt talking about movies this week on Breakfast All Day? Or is it our evil doppelgangers? You’ll have to listen for yourselves and try to figure it out. On our latest episode, we review Jordan Peele’s follow-up to “Get Out,” the deeply creepy horror film “Us,” as well as Alex Gibney’s “The Inventor: Out for Blood in Silicon Valley,” the HBO documentary about Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes. We also have some movie news involving the Disney/20th Century Fox merger and the departure of Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara, as well as Emilia Clarke’s first-person piece about the aneurysms she suffered just as “Game of Thrones” was becoming a phenomenon. i love this show when christie and alonzo are on,but matt is extremely annoying and abnoxious. just his voice gets on my nerves,and his insensitive joking about drinking alcohol before watching movies isnt funny at all!! he seems to think that his stupid little clever side jokes are funny,they are not!.one episode,he came up with 3 racist supposed jokes including saying that spike lee wore blackface. im a big fan of christie and olonzo,and ben a little,when hes there!thx for all the thoughtful reviews,just please dump,matt thx !!!!!
Thanks for listening and for the feedback, Stanley, but Matt isn’t going anywhere. He’s one of the founders of the show and one of our dearest friends.
All 4 of them have a good chemistry and I love their banter. Personally, I think Matt is funny and I love to hear his opinion. I may not always agree with their opinion but hey, that’s what makes us interesting as human beings!
On a side note: Do you guys plan to bring on any of the guest reviewers from WTF?
Will we ever get to see the beautiful WTF crew on YouTube again? Even under a different show? :'( I miss being able to tune in every week, you all have more mature insights into movies that I wouldn’t normally think of compared to some of the younger (but still good) movie reviewers.
Basically I miss What The Flick and also you should review Raw, a french body horror film by Julia Ducournau

Christy, I just watched a great Icelandic movie Woman at War. Not sure if it’s playing in LA, but it would be great to hear some thoughts from the All Breakfast crew on it if you get a chance to view it.
I like all four of you, Christy, Matt, Alonso, and Ben. Just saying. Positive thoughts all around, keep up the good work ! Love the honest reviews! I also love that you looked objectively at “Us” and didn’t overrate it just because it’s cool and trendy. So kudos for being real you two – Trevor e.y.

Maybe Matt could try to not sound so snotty and divisive when Christy puts forth a strong opinion, as at 5m41s. I know could find plenty of places back in WTF videos where when Christy disagreed with someone, she at least asked follow-up questions, letting the other person’s opinion breathe, giving the show life.
But Matt? We don’t get a “really! explain more” Nope, we get a “uhhh, I’M not sure I agree with that, but… [MORE OF MY TAKE! PLOT HOLES!1]”. It’s just tiring, his whole attitude. There’s so little give and take from him, so little shutting up and passing the ball. He hogs the ball. At least he doesn’t make comments anymore like where and how you’re supposed to cast a ‘hot girl’. (Not making that one up.)
Basically Matt used to be Comic Book Guy and now is only marginally less so. But he’s the absolute main reason I didn’t follow the format to Christy’s site. Jordan Peele was right: we’ve seen that movie. We’ve *heard* from this reviewer for long enough.
More Christy, Alonzo, Ben, and additional women speaking, PLEASE.
Also, never read the comments, it’s not going to be the most fun part of your day. I’d apologize, but I got a lot of pleasure out of releasing this, as it’s been pent up during years of skipping through parts of WTF videos.
