It’s a veritable smorgasbord of reviews on the latest Breakfast All Day Podcast: new stuff, catch-up stuff, streaming stuff. And hey, lookie here! We’re back to discussing television, by popular demand. This week, Alonso, Matt and I review M. Night Shyamalan’s third piece in his “Unbreakable”-“Split” trilogy, “Glass,” and we play catch-up with the Keanu Reeves sci-fi thriller “Replicas,” which wasn’t shown to critics last week but was so batshit crazy, we’d be remiss if we ignored it. We also ponder the fact that not one but two documentaries on the notoriously failed Fyre Festival have come out within days of each other: “Fyre Fraud” on Hulu and “Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened” on Netflix. And since so many of you asked for it, we’re dipping our toe back into television with a review of the first episode of the new season of “True Detective,” starring Mahershala Ali. Enjoy, and be sure to come back on Tuesday when we’ll discuss Oscar nominations.

    • Just figured out how to get the show on Google Podcasts. Search for “Christy Lemire.” The podcasts are there and you can subscribe and download!

  1. That digital chorus effect on your voices makes you guys sound like Apocalypse. Other than this, enjoying the podcast 🙂

  2. Come on guys. A couple of people complain about exploring DID on twitter and we have to take them as relevant? It’s not even 0.01% of an audience. Let’s also feel sorry for Norman Bates and question the intentions of Hitchcock? It’s getting extremely difficult to make or enjoy art these days with everybody worried about what is popping up on twitter. The power 1 anonymous troll can have these days.

  3. Hey guys! Thanks! Bummed about “Glass”, but I’m gonna see it tomorrow anyway, because January. Ugh, what a month!

  4. Really want to be a continued listener but if every time a movie comes out y’all have to question whether you’re even a good person if you do enjoy it because of some niche issue on Twitter instead of actually reviewing the film, then I’m out. If a film, for instance, tells a joke where someone dies and I know someone who died recently should Warner Bros delete the scene for my sensitivity? You’re setting an impossible standard for films to be PC…I dare you to go back and look and ten of your favorite films and how they’re not PC by today’s standards. Wizard of Oz? Horrible representation of little people. No Country For Old Men? Helps Trump’s Wall get built, bad roles for Mexican-Americans. Also throw out all of Hitchcock (abuser) and John Hughes

  5. No mention of Ben this week (if there was I missed it), was this on purpose? Certainly hope we will be hearing from him in the future>

  6. Chain Reaction.. Haven’t seen that one yet. Agreed with your Glass and Vice reviews/scores. I don’t mind the cosmic sounding microphone. Enjoying the show you guys.
