What the Flick?! Podcast 12/7/18

We — and by that I mean The Royal We — have a great cross-section of movies to talk about this week on the What the Flick?! Podcast. First off, Alonso, Matt and I review “Mary Queen of Scots,” with a pair of powerhouse performances from Saoirse Ronan and Margot Robbie. We also discuss the addiction drama “Ben Is Back,” the pop-music satire “Vox Lux,” Italy’s mesmerizing “Happy as Lazzaro,” and a couple of documentaries about game-changers in “Divide and Conquer: The Story of Roger Ailes,” and the Aretha Franklin concert film “Amazing Grace.” And in movie news, we discuss Kevin Hart’s blink-and-you’ll-miss-it tenure as host of the Academy Awards, as well as this week’s Golden Globe nominations, which is always a topic we enjoy. (Alonso just loves talking about film awards.) We are not amused — but we hope you will be.

  4. After listening to your podcast (great work, you guys, really good discussions … better than when you were on WTF’s tighter schedule), popped over to Amazon to watch Divide and Conquer.
