No, this is not a biopic about ’80s pop singer Tiffany. It’s a sci-fi drama starring Peter Dinklage and Elle Fanning as the last people on Earth. Or are they …? Director and cinematographer Reed Morano’s beautifully shot film has a compelling premise, and it’s intriguingly vague for a long time. But it frustratingly becomes an entirely different kind of paranoid thriller in the third act, explaining things that would have been better left unsaid. My mixed review, at RogerEbert.com
