RogerEbert.com — How to Be Single

How to Be Single Movie ReviewThe ensemble rom-com “How to Be Single” manages the tricky feat of balancing bawdiness and sentimentality. It doesn’t do quite as good a job of connecting all its various story lines. But the cast is so winning, you may not mind, and there’s a moment toward the end that packs a surprising emotional wallop. My mixed review, at RogerEbert.com.

  1. Regarding your comment about the 17 year disparity between Alice and her sister Lucy, I was reminded of the 1995 version of Father of the Bride II where his wife and married architect daughter were simultaneously pregnant. When they gave birth, on the same day, there would have been at least a 25 year gulf between those sisters. Apparently, anything is possible in Hollywood?
