“Haunt” trots out haunted-house tropes in such a bland manner, it’s like reading a grocery list. Jacki Weaver is the only remotely interesting figure here and she’s stuck on the sidelines for much of the time. My RogerEbert.com review.

I’ve often wondered why people seekout scary movies. Admittedly, I enjoy suspense ala Hitchcock (can’t wait to see Liam Neeson’s new flick), but scary vis-a-vis The Exorcist. No, no, not me. Real life is scary enough. LOL
