It’s essentially “Groundhog Day” meets “X-Men.” But really, Tim Burton’s latest fantasy adventure is much more complicated than that, with a dense mythology and overly explanatory dialogue that may leave you wondering what you’d just seen. Yes, it’s a blockbuster about a comic book character. But “Captain America: The Winter Soldier” manages to be subversive as well as explosive, with strong performances from a great cast.
Enough already with the ’80s remakes, amirite? The new “RoboCop” lacks the cheeky satire of the original, but it’s got a great cast and the visual effects are pretty dazzling. The boys and I are all mixed on it.
